Therapy

Therapy can help build awareness, compassion and positive change into your life. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space, where we can explore the past to understand the present, making links, exploring thoughts, feelings and patterns and developing coping skills.

People come to counselling for a variety of issues, including; low mood and depression, worries and anxiety, grief and loss, self harm, suicidal thoughts, self esteem and self image, phobias, infertility, intrusive thoughts and compulsive responses, anger and frustration, stress, life transitions, relationships and parenting and neurodiversity differences.

I specialise in working with low mood and depression, worries and anxiety, intrusive thoughts and compulsive responses, trauma and neurodiversity differences.

I work with clients in an open ended way, ranging from around six sessions to longer term therapy, focussing on what is important to you, moving at your own pace and completing therapy when you feel ready. Find out more about my way of working...

Sessions for adults

Face to face

For clients who would like face to face sessions, I work from a private therapy room in West Christchurch. The therapy room benefits from air-conditioning and heating. It's close to the Wessex Way (A338) and accessible by public transport from Bournemouth, Poole, West Hampshire and surrounding areas.

VIDEO

For clients who would like video sessions, I work internationally from a private and confidential space on the secured and encrypted, online platform Zoom. I am certified in online counselling and a professional member of ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online).

Online therapy offers a flexible way of working that can be from a place that suits you. If you would like assistance accessing this I can guide you through the process.

SESSION FEE

For a 50 minute session

I offer a free, no obligation, telephone consultation where we can explore what's brought you to therapy, I can answer any questions and let you know the support I might be able to offer. If we feel we're the right fit, we can look at arranging our first session. If I feel I am not the best person to support you, I may suggest other more suitable services.

I aim to offer affordable, accessible therapy. So if you are experiencing financial difficulty, I am able to offer an affordable fee to a proportion of clients and this can be explored in our initial appointment.
